Movildata, a company specializing in M2M and mobility solutions, applied to GPS location and fleet management, has migrated its technological infrastructure to the KIO Networks TIER IV data center, evolving towards the cloud environment and cloud computing model. The on-board telematics company applied to the location and fleet management migrates its infrastructure to the supplier’s Tier IV data center in Murcia.
According to a statement issued by the service provider, Movildata’s objectives were, among other things, to increase application performance, reduce risks to events or incidents, rationalize economic resources and invest the entire R&D department effort in Search and development of innovative solutions for customers immersed in a cloud environment.
Movildata relied on KIO Networks España, locating its infrastructure in the TIER IV certified data center located in the Espinardo complex (Murcia, Spain). In order to achieve its goals, among many options offered by national and international suppliers, including on premise.
The collaboration between the two companies resulted in the signing of an agreement at the end of June, culminating in August with Movildata offering all its services from the KIO data center. The migration process has been supported by the KIO support team, completing without impact on customers.
KIO Networks Spain is part of KIO’s data center network, which today has 32 advanced data processing centers dedicated to cloud services, spread across 13 technology campuses located in Mexico, the United States, Latin America And Spain, being the one of Murcia the only one of the multinational in the country.
