The third data center of Level 3 in Brazil is certified design. Level 3 Communications has received Tier III design certification Uptime Institute for its data center in Cotia, São Paulo, which means that the installation meets high design standards in infrastructure and capacity.
“Since the beginning of this project, conducted a thorough analysis to design a facility that would take into consideration the safety of our customers and the quality of services provided to meet the high standards required by the Uptime Institute,” says André Magno, director of data center and Level 3 security Brazil.
The data center of Cotia is one of the three Level 3 operates in Brazil, within a network of more than 350 data centers worldwide. The global infrastructure of data centers Level 3 has direct connectivity with more than 320,000 km fiber network, and reach the metropolitan market in more than 60 countries.
In late 2015, Level 3 activated a power substation with a capacity of 20 MW to feed its data center in Cotia. This capacity is enough to supply an increase of up to four times the current energy demand, providing the flexibility to support customer growth.
